But is it really? While this whole Corona Virus pandemic is unprecedented in modern times, instead of this marking the “beginning of the end,” maybe it’s “the beginning of the beginning?” In other words, what if we took the time to be our brother’s keeper? Instead of just worrying about our own life and comfort, what if we started looking out for the well-being of the people hurting right around us?

What if this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to look at ourselves in the mirror…and see what really makes us tick? What if we called on help from above and said, “I know I haven’t been good at helping my neighbor, but please grant me strength and courage, so that, maybe, I can make a difference in someone’s life…today.”

It’s probable that in a few months, things will be back to “normal.” Is that REALLY what we want…the “way things were?” I say, let’s use this unprecedented time to make a difference, create a legacy, by serving one another. So in the next few weeks, let’s be on the lookout for those in trouble…the elderly, the lonely, the shut-ins. Think what it would be like if you were stuck in your place, alone, and feeling abandoned.

If you know of someone in need and you can’t help, please let me or my team know, and we’ll see what we can do.

One of the most comforting things we can remember is that “God is still sovereign and in control”

“Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
