Freed!

No one ever deserved suffering less, yet received so much. The stamp of God on this perfect life is found in two words: “without sin” (Hebrews 4: 15). None of Jesus’ pain was a penalty for his sin. He had no sin. When every judicial sentiment in the universe cried out, “Unjust!” Jesus was silent.

And the goal of it all? “Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. (John 15:13) “The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10: 11 ), and pleads that they must therefore go free. This Pledge is guaranteed, and justice demands that those for whom He is a substitute should go their way.

During this Easter season, rejoice in the freedom your Redeemer has secured for you. Bless His name today and everyday!!

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:7-8  

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12:2-3

To Him who loves us and had freed us from our sins by His blood, and had made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father – to Him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

Revelation 1:5-6

What a valuable time of year this is to fully appreciate the significance of what happened on the Cross. Don’t let it pass without setting aside some time to stop and rejlect … and see what your life would’ve been without the crucifixion. This can be a wonde,ful time ofjoy and wonder and worship. Embrace it. Embrace Him!
